What is temporary consular registration?
Temporary consular registration is the process of registering Ukrainian citizens in Polish diplomatic institutions for a specific period. This registration does not affect citizenship, tax, or military obligations but is necessary to resolve issues such as participation in elections or temporary importation of a vehicle.
Why should you register with the consulate?
Registration provides access to consular services, such as:
- Participation in elections abroad
- Temporary import of a car into Ukraine (for up to 60 days)
- Registration of orphaned children, adopted children, and people with disabilities

Ukrainian citizens who have:
- A residence card
- A visa
- PESEL UKR (Diia.pl)
Where can you register?
Registration takes place at the consulate responsible for your place of residence in Poland:
- Warsaw – Masovian, Łódzkie Voivodeships
- Wrocław – Greater Poland, Lubusz, Lower Silesian, Opole Voivodeships
- Kraków – Lesser Poland, Holy Cross, Silesian Voivodeships
- Lublin – Lublin, Podlaskie, Subcarpathian Voivodeships
- Gdańsk – Pomeranian, Warmian-Masurian, Kuyavian-Pomeranian, West Pomeranian Voivodeships
Additional requirements for men aged 18-60 years:
Men in this age group must provide an extract from the “Reserv+” app, confirming the update of their military registration. The extract must be issued no later than 72 hours before submitting the documents.
